It was blatantly obvious that no one in that restaurant had any training, and the manager on duty was completely inept. I’ve been through extensive food service training on food handling, and training staff/servers to operate in a proper food management setting. 8) So, to qualify my observations, I am a registered, certified Food Service Manager. Black mold and dirt all around the edges of the floor, dirty toilets… disgusting. 7) We finished eating, paid, and then stopped in the restroom before getting back on the road. He stood in the kitchen, and basically just wandered around. 6) The servers kept busy, but the manager did absolutely nothing the whole time we were there. And it was difficult to enjoy what we were eating as we didn’t know how it had been handled before coming to us. 5) The food was good, however we waited 20+ minutes in a restaurant that only had about 8 tables with customers. 4) I sent the silverware back as it had dried food left on both the knife and the fork. The floors looked like they had not been mopped in a very long time, extremely dirty carpeting, there was garbage and food laying around everywhere, dirty tables were left to sit, and I was especially grossed out by the food that was stuck between the booth cushion I was sitting on and the wall next to me. 3) As we were looking at the menu, I noticed that my feet kept sticking to the floor, and we started noticing the completely disgusting condition of the restaurant. What else did she handle in between? Dirty menus, and whatever was on her hands from helping with dirty tables. 3) The hostess handled our silverware at the door, placing it on a small tray with a few napkins. He brought us our drinks, however, I’m not sure if his hands ever got washed in between the dirty table and our drink glasses. He was very pleasant, but very unkempt – saggy pants, dirty shirt. he had in his hand, wiped them on his pants, and came over to ask about our drinks. 2) Our waiter was bussing a nearby table, dropped the dirty napkins, etc. 1) The hostess sat us in a side booth, where we could barely see one TV in the dining room. The manager commented that it was on all the TV’s, and should be no problem. The restaurant was not busy – many open tables. The Packer – Viking game had started, and when we entered, we requested a table where we could easily watch the game.
